The c2C Mission

Our focus lives at the intersection of psychology and ecology, with wellbeing at the heart of both. Together, they give us ways to look closely at different scales—from individuals and their inner worlds to relationships, communities, environments, and the larger systems we're all part of.
Some questions call us closer: What is happening within a person, relationship, organism, or place? What helps us adapt, restore, connect, and care for ourselves?
Others call for the wider view: What surrounds us? What supports or constrains us? What conditions are we creating for ourselves, one another, and the living world?
Couch2Canopy makes room for both.
There is value in the view from both the couch and the canopy, with plenty to explore in between.
Pay attention to relationships.
Living things are shaped by connection: what surrounds them, what supports them, what competes with them, what challenges them, and what gives them room to grow.
Look at the whole system.
Individuals don't exist in isolation. Neither do families, communities, gardens, or ecosystems. What happens in one part of a system can shape what happens elsewhere and vice versa.
Start with curiosity.
Observation comes before assumption. Understanding what is happening—and the context in which it is happening—often tells us more than quickly deciding what should happen instead.
How we approach the questions
Cultivate rather than control.
Change isn't always something we can force. Often our work is to create better conditions, tend what matters, learn from what happens, and adapt along the way.
Make room for complexity.
Simple labels can be useful, but they can also hide important information. C2C favors context over judgment and exploration over easy answers.
